The Tower Description
A fortified tower on a hill. Struck by lightning smoke and the top blown off. You can sum this card up in one word: BOOM!
Mind blown. Dogma ripped apart. This is the card of a Root chakra injury for sure.
As terrible as it looks though this is a great card to get in your reading.
Well, I think it is but I love sudden changes because I’m an aquarian through and through. They say the star is our card is the card of Aquarius which is next in the deck but I have a strong affinity for my neighboring card here in the major arcana.
The Tower is here to tell you that tactics change and you have to change with them.
You may have settled into too big of a rut and made a target instead of a place of safety.
Part of growing up is learning that what protected you as a child sometimes makes you a prisoner as an adult. And sometimes being an adult can become so cumbersome you have to remember the dreams of your youth to truly be free.
As the Fool is making his journey through Major Arcana we see the happy carefree boy who had total freedom of movement has fashioned himself a crown and become locked behind stone walls.
Sometimes like has to kick you out on your butt to make you remember your joy.
The tower often comes with the silver lining of new opportunities and the undeniable fact that you have to look at the problem from another perspective.
The tower may be asking you the question what is the worst that can happen? Would you survive it? Yes! Take the risk or you will grow old in that moldy old castle.
It may also be tongue in cheek reminder that things really aren’t that bad and you may be overreacting to them a little bit.
The worst part about the message the tower brings is that you knew something was off and just kept laying bricks. It was your failure to listen to your own intuition that landed your butt in this predicament.
You are about to have an opportunity to pick a better path.
The Tower – Upright Meaning
It is definitely a reminder to put your poker face on and not react to sudden news that shocks you. Try to process it as fast as you can and look for the golden opportunity that lies beneath it.
If things in a relationship suddenly turn sideways resist the urge to pursue. Let things between you lie and move forward to build on a more stable foundation.
Things may work themselves out but now is not the time to lose face. Stand behind your morals and boundaries even if the tower of the relationship catches on fie. It’s time to watch the world burn.
Wood ash is good for the garden; you will be renewed.
If this card shows up in a career or money spread don’t be surprised if a new offer comes your way that requires a major adjustment. Negotiate aggressively if you are expected to turn your life upside down.
The Tower – Reversed Meaning
It is telling you it is time to make a decision or it will be made for you and you may not like the way the universe delivers the message.
It also may be telling you that your habit of blowing things all out of proportion is working against you.
Someone in your life is feeling the pressure and is about to blow. Do your best to help them handle their responsibilities or at least help them let off a little steam. It is better than the alternative.
